What Clio is

Clio is the most widely adopted cloud practice-management platform in the legal industry - used by tens of thousands of firms to manage matters, contacts, time, billing, and intake. If your firm runs on Clio, it's already the system of record for every new client.

How Legal Dial works with Clio

Your receptionists become an extension of your Clio workflow.

Legal Dial's live agents answer your firm's calls, qualify new callers with your intake questions, and then push the results directly into Clio Manage and Clio Grow. Your team opens Clio to find a new contact, a new matter, the full call note, and any workflow already in motion, without lifting a finger.

What's built in.

Built for both Clio Manage and Clio Grow.

Contacts and matters land in Clio Manage. New leads and intake forms feed Clio Grow, so your CRM pipeline and your matter list stay in sync.

Your intake, your fields.

We map to the custom fields, matter types, and practice areas already configured in your Clio account, so nothing is generic and nothing is retyped later.

Conflict checks captured up front.

Opposing party, related parties, and jurisdiction are collected during the call and attached to the record so your team can run a conflict check before you accept.

The flow

From ringing phone to updated Clio.

01

Call comes in.

Your Legal Dial receptionist answers as an extension of your team using your greeting, your matter types, and your intake script.

02

Intake is captured.

We collect contact info, matter type, jurisdiction, conflict details, and any custom fields your firm needs before pushing to Clio.

03

Clio is updated automatically.

The moment the call ends, Clio receives the new record with the full call context attached. No manual entry.

04

Your team gets notified.

We ping the right person on your team, kick off downstream workflows, and keep Clio in sync with the rest of your stack.

What it does for your firm

Every new-client call, already in Clio.

  • New contacts and matters created in Clio automatically after every intake call.
  • Call notes, conflict-check details, and matter type attached to the Clio record.
  • Custom intake fields captured exactly the way your firm structures them.
  • Consultations booked land on the assigned attorney's calendar.
  • Clio Grow workflows and automations kick off the moment the call ends.
  • Zero double-entry - your paralegals stop retyping intake notes.
Frequently asked questions

Legal Dial and Clio, answered.

Clio is a cloud-based legal practice management platform founded in 2008 and headquartered in Burnaby, British Columbia. Its two core products are Clio Manage (matter, contact, time, and billing management) and Clio Grow (client intake and legal CRM). Clio is one of the most widely used practice management platforms in the legal industry.

Yes. Legal Dial can create and update contacts and matters in Clio Manage and can also send new leads and intake submissions into Clio Grow so your CRM pipeline stays current alongside your active matter list.

Yes. You need an active Clio account. Legal Dial connects to your existing Clio subscription, we do not resell Clio or replace any part of it.

The integration is set up during onboarding. You authorize Legal Dial to write to your Clio account, we map your matter types, custom fields, and intake questions to your Clio configuration, and from that point forward every qualifying call is written to Clio automatically.

At minimum, a contact record with caller details and a matter tied to the practice area they called about. On top of that we can attach the full call note, source, jurisdiction, referral information, conflict-check details, and any custom fields your firm captures during intake.

Legal Dial captures the information needed to run a conflict check, including opposing party and related parties, and can flag calls for your team's review before a matter is opened. The final conflict-check decision stays with your firm.

Yes. Clio is SOC 2 Type II compliant and encrypts data in transit and at rest. Legal Dial only sends the intake information you configure and does not share your client data with third parties outside of the systems your firm has authorized.

Most firms are live within a few business days of onboarding. Timing depends on how customized your Clio setup is, such as how many matter types, custom fields, and Clio Grow workflows we need to map to.
